Our U10s had a brilliant day at Magpie’s tournament.
They worked hard from the first whistle and kept their heads up through every match.
The first two games were narrow 1–0 losses, and they dug in for a solid 0–0 draw in the third.
In the playoffs they battled all the way but finished with a 2–0 defeat.
The results only tell part of the story, though.
They played with real enthusiasm and loved every minute of it. Albie put his goalie training to great use, and even stepped in to help Pelicans who were missing a keeper.
The grown-ups definitely gave their vocal cords a workout with all the cheering.
They finished 6th out of 8.
A marvellous achievement all round.
Well done to the players and coaches.
