Get Involved

Watton Hockey club relies on the efforts of so many amazing volunteers, without their huge collective efforts the club simply would not function. But we need more amazing people to volunteers and assist in all aspects of running the club.

As well as hockey related jobs - coaching, umpiring, arranging fixtures, booking pitches, managing and running teams, there are many back-office jobs - finance, website, social media, communications, membership, fundraising, welfare officers, organising social events.

We encourage all our members and their friends and families, mums, dads, boyfriends, girlfriends, uncles, and aunts to get involved. If we could all give just a few hours per season to help the club in any way, the collective effort would be immense, and hugely valuable.

Why Volunteer?
Volunteering can provide a range of benefits for the club, and the volunteer.

  • Sense of purpose and satisfaction - make a positive impact in your community and create a sense of personal satisfaction and fulfilment.
  • Learning and skill development - develop skills in teamwork, communication, leadership, and valuable experience.
  • Networking and social connections - meet new people and expand social networks.
  • Improved mental and physical health - can provide a positive effect on mental health and reducing stress.
  • Career and personal development - gain valuable experience that can be transferred into your career and helps in personal development.

Volunteering can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience, while giving back to the community, helping others and making a positive impact for yourself and the community.

Come and get involved.
